Applying to the Japan-America Student Conference

All applicants must be currently undergraduate or graduate students studying in the United States. If you are graduating before the summer or recently entered university, you are still eligible to apply.
In addition, all applicants must be able to attend the conference in its entirety.
Usually three to four weeks in August—JASC76 takes place from August 1st–24th

As the official language of the conference is English, no prior experience in Japanese language or Japanese studies is required.

  • University Transcript
  • Proof of Enrollment
  • Resume / Curriculum Vitae
  • Letter of Recommendation (Optional)
  • Application Fee: $20
Please note that a brief personal statement and other short-answer responses are also usually required
